Kate + Steve
Kate and Steve are a rare breed. Getting to know them from one of my all time favorite engagement sessions (click here, you know you wanna) gave me a glimpse of how awesome their wedding was going to be. Sure enough, they didn't disappoint one bit! Mad and I drove to meet Kate at her parents house down in Shamong, NJ to shoot some details of getting ready and play with their dog. Once she was ready, we drove to their apartment in Philly where Steve and the guys were hanging out. Calling their apartment awesome would be a severe understatement... it was perfect. And funny enough their reception venue at the Manayunk Brew Pub bore a striking resemblance to their apartment, with so much natural light it was a privelidge to shoot there. They met up beforehand for a quick photo session at Race Street Pier, and tied the knot in the dramatically beautiful St. John the Baptist in Manayunk. We got a few more images in the Pub and on the way there, all contributing to their perfect day. Lastly BIG PROPS to Roots and Groove. Adam and John are second to none, spinning live mixes and such a perfect selection of tunes that should be at all weddings (or at least the ones I shoot!).

steve told me that they said to all their vendors, 'give us the chef special.' what an awesome concept! everyone wants to produce something amazing for you because they're doing exactly what they love... so good. here is the cake, designed to compliment kate's lace dress, and the topper was made by kate's sister.
