Aimee + Drew : Iceland

When Aimee and Drew booked me for their wedding, I was stoked. Upstate NY at their favorite vacation spot sounded like it was going to be an awesome vibe in a great spot for their celebration. Then while in Australia over the winter, I got a call that went something like this... 'Hey Steve, we need to chat to you about a change of venue.' 'OK,' I said, 'What are you guys thinking? You want to get married in Iceland?' Drew said... 'Yep, how'd you know?!'

Not sure if they could feel from the tone of my voice how high I jumped around and how fast I ran, but to say I was excited is a massive understatement. Holy crap!! And finally September did come, and we spent a week touring around the indescribable country of Iceland. By the end, we were part of the family, and wouldn't have it any other way. We all stayed and got ready at Frost and Fire Hotel, then took a charter bus to the Skógar Heritage Museum where they tied the knot, drove over to the mind-blowing waterfalled called Skógafoss, then headed to a crazy black sand beach with Basalt columns and cliffs called Reynisfjara, and finished the tour walking behind Seljalandsfoss at sunset. Then it was back to Frost and Fire for the reception. Here's a selection of images from the wedding day, stay tuned for the extra curricular activities post to follow!
